Phase 1
Restoration of Church Exterior
Cosgriff: “One central issue that may have the most direct effect on a campaign is the concern for maintenance and upkeep of the church. The church may have expensive repairs and rebuilds stemming from original construction issues but a building naturally begins to age and require greater maintenance, repairs, and replacements so in addition to specific problems that have recently or are now occurring there will be more as the building ages.”
Our Vision
Main issue:
The brick was not laid on the church properly
The infrastructure behind the bricks is insufficient for the long term life of the church. Rain seeps into the building and soaks into the materials behind the brick.
The external stone is porous and crumbles over time due to rain.
An architect has made drawings describing the work to be done. When the brick work is done, we will be able to enhance the exterior look of the church, bringing out its features more.
Phase 2
Our Lady Help of Christians School
Our second goal is to begin raising money for a new purpose-built school building. For centuries, many Catholics, including many saints, have put forth great efforts for the education of children. Truly Catholic schools are the most effective means for transmitting the faith, building character, and preparing future leaders in the Church and society. Moreover, as predicted by Archbishop Lefebvre, SSPX schools have been a great source of Christian families and vocations in a world that so badly needs them. We are blessed to be able to provide our children with a faithful and effective Catholic education. And we have done this, over the years, in very challenging circumstances. But we can do better.
Our Vision
The best way to pass on our saving Faith is through a five-day Catholic school where Christ is glorified moment-by-moment and Christian life is modelled. Our facilities need to be tailored for academics, learning and activities. A new school would include a beautiful entrance, eight modern classrooms, four offices, two bathrooms, and a library to continue to inspire young hearts and draw young Catholic families.
