Dear Parishioners,
This is an exciting time at St. Isidore’s, as we launch our ambitious Grow Where You Are Planted Capital Campaign. We are asking God to guide and bless all our efforts, for with Him, all things are possible ( cf. Lk. 1:37 ). Our campaign aims to restore and enhance our beautiful church exterior, as well as start raising money towards a new purpose-built school building for Our Lady Help of Christians Academy.
Our first goal is the restoration of our church exterior. Our beautiful church is a blessing to us and a symbol of the Catholic faith to all who travel the I-70 corridor. Over the years, water has been infiltrating the building through the brick, causing deterioration of the infrastructure. As always, problems that are not addressed only grow in severity. We must not reach the point where the building begins to collapse. Through our campaign, we will take steps so that this is never again a problem for us!
Our second goal is to begin raising money for a new purpose-built school building. For centuries, many Catholics, including many saints, have put forth great efforts for the education of children. Truly Catholic schools are the most effective means for transmitting the faith, building character, and preparing future leaders in the Church and society. Moreover, as predicted by Archbishop Lefebvre, SSPX schools have been a great source of Christian families and vocations in a world that so badly needs them. We are blessed to be able to provide our children with a faithful and effective Catholic education. And we have done this, over the years, in very challenging circumstances. But we can do better by providing our children with a school building constructed specifically for the purposes of their education.
We are entrusting our campaign to the intercession of St. Joseph, as well as the patron saints of our parish: Our Lady Help of Christians, St. Isidore the Farmer, and St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. Through the ages, and since the founding of our parish, those who have trusted in the assistance of God have been amply blessed. In the Gospels,
Our Lord works miracles because of the faith of those whom He helps. He teaches that faith the size of a mustard seed is able to move mountains (Lk. 17:6). Our faith in this campaign is like that seed planted in the ground which, if we water it with our prayer and hard work, will yield much fruit for our parish and the salvation of souls.
I ask you to keep our Grow Where You Are Planted Capital Campaign in your daily prayers and also to be generous in your support of the campaign. We appreciate your assistance in cultivating the soil of our parish for the reign of Christ the King!
Our Lady Help of Christians, pray for us. St. Joseph, pray for us.
St. Isidore the Farmer, pray for us.
St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, pray for us.
