REFLECTING IN PRAYER ON OUR CAMPAIGN
Dear Parishioners,
We have begun our St. Isidore Grow Where You Are Planted Capital Campaign to do a much-
needed restoration of our church exterior and to begin raising money toward the building of a new school
building for Our Lady Help of Christians Academy.
The parishioners of St. Isidore have gathered for the traditional Latin Mass in Watkins and beyond for
over 40 years. Our beautiful church is the house of God where we assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass and other Sacraments for our spiritual nourishment and fortification. Our Lady Help of Christians
Academy provides a truly Catholic education to prepare our children to thrive as Catholic adults in a
godless world. The much-needed restoration of our church and the construction of a new school will
enable us to bear even more fruit in Our Lord’s vineyard, through the salvation of souls (cf. Matt. 20:1).
In the Information Phase (December) we learned about our campaign goals. In the Reflection Phase this
January, we will be pondering our call to give back to God our first and our best. Finally, during the
Commitment Phase (February 9 to the spring), we will respond to that call with our generous spirit and
our gifts freely given. Our themes for the Reflection Phase are:
I – Call to a Season of Prayer – (January 12)
II – Being Grateful – (January 19)
III – Giving Back to God – (January 26)
IV – Giving Back to God, with Sacrifice! – (February 2)
As we begin our Reflection Phase, we ask that you take the call of God to heart and start
praying every day, “Lord, what do you want to do – through me – for my parish? Help me be your
instrument, that your kingdom come, that your will be done.”
