We have now reached an important point in our Grow Where You Are Planted campaign: the halfway mark. Eighteen out of thirty-six months have passed in our campaign. During that time, we have been blessed to have 53% of our $6.5 million goal pledged. Meanwhile, those who have pledged are persevering in fulfilling their commitments to the campaign. Let us pray that the second half of the campaign will be just as successful!

Over the course of the past year, many important repairs have been made on our beloved church, and the work is ongoing. Recently, when I was at a restaurant with some other priests and we said that we were from St. Isidore’s, the waitress, who lives in Bennett, replied, “There is always work going on at that church!” Yes, we are getting closer to the moment when we will be able to say that our church is completely protected from any water penetration in the future.

As we come to this halfway point of our campaign, and also the 25th anniversary of St. Isidore’s, I want to thank all of parishioners for their great support of the campaign. What we are doing is very meaningful in the eyes of Our Lord, because we are preserving the holy traditions of His Church, and being persecuted for it. All of our efforts are precious because they are so rare and we face such great odds. Let us persevere in the beautiful work and the sacrifices required to accomplish it, for the love of Our Lord and His Church, for the good of our families, and for the salvation of souls.
