New mortar is currently being put in between all of the bricks on the church, in order to prevent water penetrating the building during rainstorms. I appreciate your patience during the grinding of the old mortar, as we had to turn the blowers off on the AC units, which made it warm in the church.
Those blowers are now back on. Once this tuckpointing work is done, we will be replacing the stone around most of the exterior windows. With the new stone, we will finally be in a position where no water will be able to come into the church. Thank you for all of your generosity in taking care of the house of Our Lord!
Thus far, about one million dollars of our campaign money has been spent. This money has been used for the campaign itself, the paving of the parking lot, the replacement of the roof, our new audio system, and the tuckpointing. Once the stone around the church windows has been replaced, we should be able to allocate the rest of our campaign donations towards the building of a new school.
Please continue to support the Grow Where You Are Planted Campaign by your prayers. We must persevere in asking St. Joseph for the donors to come forward who will help us reach our final goal of $6.5 million. When we pray, let us have confidence in his powerful intercession and also be grateful for the many blessings we have received through the campaign so far.
God bless you and your families, Fr. Paul Robinson, SSPX, Prior
